How to use Portfolio?

What is Portfolio?

A stock portfolio refers to a collection of stocks (shares of companies) that an investor owns. It represents the diversity of their investments in different companies and industries. 

In the ShareInvestor Portfolio feature, you can record your buy and sell transactions, allowing you to monitor your portfolio’s overall performance. Additionally, you can record your deposit and withdrawal transactions to help manage your cash effectively.

How To Set Up New Portfolio?

You can access the Portfolio feature via the main navigation bar. Once on My Portfolio page, follow these steps:

Steps to Set Up: 

    1. 1.Click the “Create New Portfolio” button.
       

    1. 2.Enter a name for your portfolio. Choose a name that reflects your investment strategy or focus.
       

    1. 3.Select your preferred currency. Choose the currency in which you want to track your investments.

      Please be aware that once your portfolio is created, you will not be able to change its currency.

    1. 4.Decide on stock additions: Choose whether you want to add stocks without transactions to this portfolio (select “Yes”) or if you don’t want to include them (select “No”).

What is adding stocks without transactions to this portfolio?

Adding a portfolio without transactions serves as a watchlist function, allowing you to monitor stocks, similar to the classic ShareInvestor portfolio feature. However, as we transition to separating watchlist and portfolio features, we recommend setting up a dedicated watchlist for tracking your stocks instead of using the portfolio function. How Do I Add Transaction In My Own Portfolio?

     1.Click the “Add Transactions” button. 

     2.Search for the company’s stock or warrants that you have purchased. 

     3.Fill in the details such as Transaction Date, Quantity, share price 

     4.Click Add transaction 

What Information Can I Find in My Portfolio?

We offer various of information for you to choose from, including: 

  1. Overall Performance
  2. ROI 
  3. Total Value  
  4. Total P/L 
  5. Dividend  
  6. Cash
